Happy birthday, Ethel Barrymore! A distinguished actress, Barrymore appeared in vaudeville, on Broadway, radio, television, and in a number of motion pictures. She and her brothers, John and Lionel, were labeled “the royal family of Broadway” in the 1920s.
This stamp honoring the theatrical family was issued in 1982.
