Congratulations to the U.S. women’s soccer team who beat France 4-2 last night in their first match of the London Games! We’re rooting for a third gold medal! This stamp was issued in 1996 to commemorate the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, which was the first year women’s soccer was added to the line-up.
